DevOps Engineer

ooba is looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining modern, scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and enhancing cloud-based deployments. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with deep technical knowledge, a passion for efficiency, and a collaborative mindset. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment workflows. • Monitor software performance, troubleshoot errors, and develop proactive system reliability solutions. • Manage cloud infrastructure and optimize for cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline deployments and resolve technical challenges. • Automate routine tasks and system operations to enhance team productivity. • Implement and maintain security best practices, including automated compliance and secure code delivery. • Support observability practices by integrating monitoring, alerting, and logging into all stages of delivery. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Knowledge of API gateway configuration, artifact management, and build orchestration is a plus. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions preferred). • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar. • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK). • Strong scripting capabilities in languages such as Python or Bash. • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on automation and efficiency. • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS or GCP also valuable). • Exposure to DevSecOps or experience integrating security into the CI/CD process. • Experience working in Agile environments and understanding of Agile software delivery practices. • Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
